Amazon launches new AI image creation model
November 29 2023
Amazon has entered the AI image generation market with its new Titan text-to-image AI model, unveiled at the AWS re:Invent conference. The Titan Image Generator is designed for developers to use within their own applications, requiring access to Amazon Bedrock, and targets the enterprise market. A key feature of the service is the inclusion of invisible watermarks on all images to ensure AI-generated content can be identified, in line with commitments made to the White House. These watermarks can be detected via a specific Amazon API. Alongside Titan Image Generator, AWS also released Titan Text Lite for simpler text generation tasks and Text Express for larger-scale applications like chatbots. Furthermore, Amazon provides copyright indemnity to customers using its Titan foundation models, offering legal protection even if apps utilize other AI models from its repository.
