Intel launches a new company focused on enterprise-level GenAI software
January 4 2024
Intel is launching a new company named Articul8 AI, specializing in AI-powered enterprise software, with the support of DigitalBridge and other investors. The platform is derived from a collaboration between Intel and Boston Consulting Group (BCG), featuring a generative AI system that could process text and images, tailored to BCG’s security needs. Originally developed exclusively for BCG, the platform is now being expanded to serve various high-security industries. Arun Subramaniyan will lead the spinout company comprised of former Intel employees. Intel will maintain a stake and strategic alignment with Articul8 AI, planning to utilize its software internally and offer it to customers through a partnership. This new endeavor is part of Intel’s wider strategy under CEO Pat Gelsinger to revitalize the company, with initiatives including building new chip factories and developing advanced chip technologies, as well as offering GenAI products and services to enhance the appeal of Intel hardware against competitors.
