AI image generator with legal protection is now accessible to Getty users
September 25 2023
Getty Images, the US photo agency, has unveiled an AI tool capable of generating images from user prompts. The tool, developed in collaboration with Nvidia, also incorporates a payment plan for any artists whose images were used to train the tool. Chief executive Craig Peters stated that Getty Images believes in rewarding the creatives who have invested their expertise and content. Furthermore, Getty will offer uncapped indemnification for its 800,000-plus customers to cover potential copyright disputes. While Peters acknowledged payouts will be small at the onset, he expects the market for AI-generated products to grow and become a steady revenue stream.
