The Ai Pin: Humane's Enigmatic Hardware Startup Unveils Its First Product

Ex-Apple engineers Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno, founders of the startup Humane, have revealed their first product: the AI Pin. This AI-powered wearable device clips to clothing and projects an interface onto nearby surfaces, enabling users to interact with their emails, calendar, phone calls, and perform translations, among other tasks. The device can also recognize objects around it using camera and computer vision software. Humane is partnering with Qualcomm for the development of the device’s internal hardware, and with Microsoft, OpenAI, SK Networks, LG, and Volvo for various stages of bringing the product to market. To date, Humane has raised $230 million from multiple investors.
